Robb Report Turns to St. Charles New York, Eric Ripert and Gaggenau to create the Out-of-This-World Ultimate Kitchen.

This holiday season St. Charles New York has partnered with Michelin-Star chef Eric Ripert, German appliance purveyor Gaggenau and Robb Report to offer one of the publication’s readers the unique opportunity to create a custom St. Charles New York kitchen! The lucky giftee will begin by designing their space with St. Charles Creative Director, Karen Williams, and then meet with Eric Ripert at one of the Gaggenau US showrooms to select from the’brand’s top appliances. “When all’s said and done, you’ll be whipping up restaurant-worthy meals like a pro — and in a chic new space to boot.”

In Christie’s Magazine Art and Design Issue, the luxury real estate group features St. Charles New York and the St. Charles Collection. Touting the company as synonymous with “taste and heritage”, Christie’s cites its esteemed historic clients like Mies van der Rohe and Frank Lloyd Wright as well as its propensity for innovation under trailblazing Creative Director Karen Williams. Christie’s, who calls the new collection versatile and unique, interviews Karen about designing kitchens for the modern age. “The challenge,” she responds, “is how can I design a functioning kitchen in a beautiful envelope with all this new information we have? It’s a wonderful opportunity.”

Luxury Modern Hamptons devotes a page in their August 2020 issue to one of Karen Williams-designed St. Charles Collection drawer inserts with custom wood nesting bowls, salt cellars, and spoon. Says the magazine, “Everything has a place with St. Charles New York’s cabinet collection,” and describes Karen as “known for transforming kitchens from background spaces into the forefront of opulent design.”

Galerie magazine’s Jill Sieracki interviews Karen Williams as an authoritative source on entertaining and setting a beautiful summer table. Sieracki writes, “Here, some of the design world’s top talents share photos from their own seasonal get-togethers and their suggestions for creating just the right atmosphere.” Featured in the story is an alfresco poolside table Karen set in her Southampton home, replete with Marigold Living block printed linens and roses from her garden. Says Karen, “A table setting should be happy and lively, nothing too structured. I like to say, ‘Make it look random,’ but it’s not random at all.”

The STCNY showroom, situated in the A&D building, was recently redesigned and accommodates all three examples of the newly launched St. Charles Collection series. The award, selected by a panel of design experts, is announced in the August 2020 issue of KBDN.

House Beautiful tapped Karen Williams to take their viewers on an Instagram Live open house tour of Karen’s Southampton farmhouse, which she designed. The St. Charles New York Creative Director showed viewers around her home office, appointed with an antique Murano glass ribbon chandelier and a desk from Pouenat, and opened up her carefully appointed and custom designed kitchen and prep kitchen—the heart of her home.

During Covid 19 lockdown, St. Charles New York looked to new ways to inspire and engage their clients and friends by hosting three live Instagram styling workshops with stylist Mieke ten Have to commemorate the company’s 85th year in business. Originally intended to take place in the St. Charles A&D Showroom, the Heart of the Home workshop series covered tablescape design, china cabinet arranging, and a floral styling tutorial which took place in Karen Williams’ own Southampton kitchen.

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, editors from AD, House Beautiful, and Elle Decor along with a select group of top interior designers gathered in the St. Charles New York showroom at the A&D building for a floral arranging workshop with stylist Mieke ten Have. After creating their bouquets, the guests sipped rosé and enjoyed lunch from Balthazar, which was hosted by Creative Director Karen Williams.
